I am a passionate English-German translator, fierce bug hunter, and avid language lover.
My background
Having grown up in an Italian-German home in Bavaria, I graduated from Würzburg Interpreter School in 2003.
Shortly after, I began working at Nintendo of Europe in Frankfurt, where I fell in love with video game localization and became a professional bug hunter and translator.
After 7 years of working in different positions at Nintendo, I worked at a small localization company in Málaga, Spain, and then in Berlin, Germany. I am now freelancing from Boston, Massachusetts.
I also volunteer at a school library and love, love, LOVE writing and translating (even proofreading) fiction.
Random facts about me:
My first home console was the Atari 2600 — and I still have it today.
My favorite games are those that tell a moving story, like Bury Me, My Love.
When I got my Gameboy one magical Christmas in the 1990s, I spent the first months dreaming of tetriminos (and constantly trying to steal it back from my Mom)
My hobbies include weightlifting, drawing, and playing with my crazy kids.
Besides German and English, I also speak Spanish, Italian, and some Japanese.
